Hello HumCo PBA Membership,
HumCo PBA and chapters are looking for late spring/early summer burn projects!
June is the perfect time to use fire to reduce the abundance of invasive annual grasses. Grasses like medusahead can be knocked back dramatically if burned when the seed is almost developed. This is also a great season to burn off fine fuels ahead of the summer wildfire season.
Do you have a unit that you’d like to burn this June?
If you’ve had a site visit from a PBA rep and you have a valid smoke management plan, please contact us. You will be at the top of our priority list!
If you haven’t had a site visit and need a smoke management plan, it’s not too late. Reach out to myself or Kai Ostrow to schedule a site visit and get the permit process going.
