The PBA Board met on Jan 28. There has been a lot of good burning taking place this week with the clear, dry weather. Burns in oak woodlands were conducted in the Showers Pass area, and also in southern Humboldt. Fuel consumption was good and a few folks were inspired by the burning to get some of their own piles burned. Quite a few PBA members and local FDs helped the sponsoring landowners get the work done. If you’ve got burning to do and might need a hand getting it done, please let us know. And we do have equipment you can use to assist with your burn.
Mark your calendars for a membership-wide General Meeting on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. We are planning to meet in Rohner Park, Fortuna from 3:30 pm until 6. Information about current PBA activities, changes in burn liability, air quality permits and more will be presented. The board will provide grilled burgers, nosh, and beverages. If you have any topics for discussion, let us know. Please invite neighbors who may be interested in burning. We hope to see you there!
